BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. Tajik exports of aluminum to Türkiye decreased over the past year, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
According to statistics, the volume of Tajikistan's aluminum exports to Türkiye reached 45,065 tons in 2022, which is a decrease of 10 percent compared to 2021 (50,089 tons).
At the same time, the value of Tajik aluminum exports to Türkiye last year increased by 0.5 percent in comparison to 2021 ($121.3 million) - to $121.9 million.
During the last year, Tajikistan also exported aluminum to neighboring Uzbekistan for $31.4 million.
Currently, aluminum is one of Tajikistan's primary export commodities. Tajik aluminum is in great demand in aviation, engineering, chemical, and metalworking industries. One of the largest aluminum production enterprises in Tajikistan is Tajik Aluminum Company TALCO, which exported almost 50,000 tons of aluminum worth $119 million in 2021.
