BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The value of Tajikistan’s imports of base metals and products of them from Germany decreased by 90 percent in February 2023, compared to the previous month, the source at the Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
In particular, the value of the imports in February 2023 dropped to 6,830 euro from 62,997 euro in January.
Overall, base metals and products of them for 69,827 euro were imported by Tajikistan from Germany in the period from January through February 2023.
As Eurostat reports, Tajikistan purchased these type of goods from Germany for 205,708 euro in 2022, which is an increase of 4.3 percent over 2021 (197,205 euro).
In total, Tajikistan imported goods from the EU countries for more than 56.4 million euro from January through February 2023. At the same time, the value of Tajikistan’s exports to the EU totaled 27.6 million.
The value of trade turnover between Tajikistan and EU countries exceeded 84 million euro in the first two months of 2023.
