By Umid Niayesh - Trend: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton held negotiations, and discussed the details of Iran's nuclear program, IRNA news agency reported On Nov. 21.

The meeting was held in Geneva, following Nov. 20 negotiations at the level of deputy foreign ministers.

"The details of the nuclear program have been discussed," Zarif said after the meeting with Catherine Ashton. "However, there are still some differences in opinions."

According to IRNA, Zarif assessed the meeting with high-ranking EU official as constructive.

The two sides also discussed the details of the long-term plans, regarding the nuclear issue, IRNA reported citing its "informed source", which was not revealed due to confidentiality.

The next round of negotiations on resolving Iran's nuclear programme among the 'Six' international mediators and Iran was launched in Geneva on Nov. 20.

The coordination meeting of the 'three plus three' group and then a separate meeting between Ashton and Zarif was held on the first day.

Afterwards there was a plenary meeting among the representatives of Russia, the U.S., China, Great Britain, France and Germany and Tehran's delegation.

Israel, the U.S and other Western countries accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons under the guise of a peaceful nuclear programme. Tehran denies all accusations saying its nuclear programme is aimed solely at meeting the country's electricity needs.
