Talk show superstar Oprah Winfrey taped the last episode of her eponymous show on Tuesday, bringing down the curtain on 25 years and 5,000 episodes at the top of the daytime TV ratings, dpa reported.
The final episode of the Oprah Show will air on Wednesday after which Winfrey will start to prepare for a new show on her cable network, OWN.
Tuesday's episode was filmed at the studio of her Chicago-based company Harpo Productions in front of an invited audience of superfans. The news media were barred from the taping and no details were available about the content of the final show.
