As many as 5,707 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Izmir to the Spanish port of Tarragona from January through September 2021, and 4,630 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Nov. 18.
Thus, 10,337 vehicles were transported between the two ports during the reporting period.
Turkish ports handled over 1.5 million vehicles in the first nine months of 2021.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 933,445 vehicles to the Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 572,609 vehicles were sent from the Turkish ports by Ro-Ro ships in 9M2021.
Turkish ports handled a total of 160,501 vehicles in September 2021. Ro-Ro ships delivered 107,192 vehicles to the Turkish ports in September 2021.
At the same time, 53,309 cars were sent from the Turkish ports.
