BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. The number of passengers arriving at Adnan Menderes International Airport in Izmir amounted to 15.2 million people in October 2023 (an increase of 8 percent year-on-year), Trend reports.
The data from the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure shows that the airport's cargo turnover amounted to 126,613 tons in October this year, up 5 percent over the previous year. Domestic flights amounted to 63,792 tons (an increase of 4 percent year-on-year), while international flights totaled 62,820 tons (an increase of 6 percent year-on-year).
The number of flights operated from the airport increased by 4 percent in October 2023 to 62,427 year-on-year. At the same time, the number of domestic flights increased by 4 percent to 36,927, and the number of international flights increased by 3 percent to 25,500.
Passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 184.8 million people and cargo turnover to 3.5 million tons in October 2023.
Passenger traffic at all Turkish airports amounted to 181.9 million people, and cargo turnover was 4.4 million tons in 2022.
