Ukrainian Forces Involved in Poisoning of Yushchenko

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. А. Gasimova / Ukrainian forces were involved in the poisoning of the current President of the Ukraine, Victor Yushchenko in 2004 when he was still a Presidential candidate, according to Andrey Ermolayev, the director of the Centre on Social Research of Sofia.

Yushchenko stated, on numerous occasions that Russia would prevent an investigation into the case. The poison that was used against Yushchenko is produced not only in Russia but in many countries.

Ermolayev said that nobody can charge Russia with poising the President.

The Prosecutor General of the Ukraine received permission from Russian legal bodies to examine the samples of the poison, which is produced in Russia.

According to Ermolayev the situation is very difficult, as nobody uses such a poison against people.
