Vice Prime and State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Georgiy Baramidze has paid a working visit to Norway to participate in session of the NATO Parliament Assembly.
The summer session will be held in Oslo on May 22-26. Member states and partners of the Alliance will discuss international security including the conflict between Russia and Georgia, and the process of Georgia's integration into the NATO.
According to the statement of the State Minister's Office, Georgiy Baramidze will speak at the session of the political committee and will speak about the Russian-Georgian war and occupation of the Georgian lands. The vice prime minister will also accentuate the questions regarding the membership of Georgia in the NATO and significance of the international community's efforts made in the process of Georgia's de-occupation.
During a visit, the minister will also hold bilateral meetings Norwegian defense minister and chairman of the parliamentary committee on security and defense as well as representatives of Romania, Canada and Poland in the NATO.
