Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will pay an official visit to Georgia on Feb. 11-12, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania said.

According to him, Davutoglu will hold meetings in Batumi and Tbilisi. He will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.

Jalagania noted that within the visit it is not planned to conclude a memorandum on cultural monuments between the two countries.

"During the meeting, perhaps, this issue will be discussed," he said.

A recent agreement between the two countries envisaging the restoration of four Georgian churches dating back to the Middle Ages in Turkey in exchange for the construction of four mosques in Georgia has caused great excitement.
