A draft resolution on the "OIC Youth Forum" has been unanimously adopted at the 34th Session of the Islamic Commission for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs (ICECS) held in Jeddah last week, OIC Youth Forum Istanbul headquarters said in its statement.
The annual session of the Commission at the senior officials' level discusses documents which are planned to be included in the OIC member countries' foreign ministers' session.
This year the session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers will be held in late June in the capital of Kazakhstan.
"One of the important articles of the resolution is dedicated to the international campaign 'Justice for Khojaly' within the 'Program of the Day of Remembrance of humanitarian catastrophes in the OIC countries in the 20th century'," said Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference Youth Forum, Ambassador Elshad Isgandarov.
In particular, the resolution calls on member countries and OIC institutions to support the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" and to strengthen their actions in recognition of the Khojaly massacre as a crime against humanity, both at national and international levels.
The resolution also appreciates the Forum's activity in strengthening the youth's role in the process of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and especially, in highly assessing the OIC's activity in establishing the Global Youth Movement of the UNAOC, for which the founding congress was held on April 9-11 in Baku. The document also includes an item on the importance of the role of the OIC Youth Forum as an OIC partner in implementing international projects for the UNAOC program.
