Syrian Turkmens will occupy an important place in the country's future, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the ceremony of establishment of the Syrian Turkmen Majlis (parliament), TRT Haber TV channel reported on Saturday.
He said Turkey will continue to provide full support to the comprehensive development of the Turkmens in the region.
"Now one of the main goals is freeing Syrian people from Assad regime," Erdogan said.
Turkey will take all measures to organize teaching of Turkish language in Syria, Erdogan said.
