Afragim Taghizadeh, Assistant of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, informed Trend that if it turns to be that Vusal Garadjayev, an Azerbaijani soldier who was in Armenian captivity on December 7-23, had done it deliberately, he might be made answerable for it.
Ilgar Verdiyev, an employee of the Press-Service of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, said that now the corresponding bodies are investigating the way how the Azerbaijani soldier passed into Armenian hands. However, the most vital is that our soldier was returned and he feels good, he said.
On December 7, in Aghdam, Vusal Garadjayev, a soldier of Military Unit X, was captured by Armenian forces under very strange circumstances. According to the initial information spread by the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, the soldier lost his way because of gloomy weather and passed into the hands of Armenian forces.
On December 23, the Azerbaijani soldier was released from the captivity as a result of the negotiations sponsored by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Vusal Garadjayev was born in Balakan District of Azerbaijan in 1988.
