Azerbaijan, Baku, July 31 / Trend M. Aliyev /
The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation is expanding its work with Turkish trade unions to organise mutual recreation for the citizens of both countries, head of the Department for International Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Fuad Mammadov told Trend today.
According to the agreement signed by the two organisations, along with mutual exchange in education and holding conferences, it is planned to organise the recreation conditions for representatives of various professions in the neighbouring country, he said.
"Preparations for 100-150 Azerbaijani teachers' holidays are being organised at Turkish resorts during the year," he said. "Their number is expected to increase in the future."
He added that teachers' travel expenses whilst relaxing in Turkey are paid for by the trade unions of the institutions in which they work and the costs of recreation by the Turkish relevant trade unions.
"As opposed to Azerbaijan, several trade unions operate in various fields in Turkey," he said. "The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation cooperates with each of these unions separately."
