The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is developing rules to strengthen the information security of domestic banks, Anar Guliyev, deputy head of the CBA’s ICT department, told Trend on May 16.
According to Guliyev, a special group has assessed the information security of seven Azerbaijani banks.
Besides, on May 15, the CBA distributed respective recommendations to banks to strengthen information security.
"At the same time, special rules are being prepared for insurance organizations," the bank’s representative said.
According to him, the experience of the central banks of Turkey, Europe, Singapore, Russia, Kazakhstan, and the UK is used in the development of the rules.
"The new rules are based on a series of international standards, including information security - ISO27000," stressed Guliyev.
