Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 March / Trend corr I. Khalilova/ In January, the deposits of Azerbaijani banks dipped by 1.8% as compared to December, and increased by 52.7% compared to January 2007, the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) reported.
According to the NBA, by 1 January the total amount of deposits of banks, juridical entities and individuals comprised AZN 3126.3mln, while by 1 January 2007 it was AZN 3183.7mln and by 1 February 2007 - AZN 2047.1mln.
In January, the deposits of individuals increased by 2.1%, and the deposits of juridical entities rose by 5.2%. During the last year, deposits of individuals increased by 86.2% and deposits of juridical entities by 30.9%.
By 1 February, the amount of individuals' deposits in Azerbaijani banks increased to AZN 1499.6mln from AZN 1468.4mln which was by 1 January and AZN 805.4mln by 1 February 2007.
By 1 February, the amount of juridical entities' deposits made up AZN 1626.6mln, and by 1 January 2007 it was AZN 1715.3mln, by 1 February 2007 - AZN 1241.7mln.
