Head of the Georgian Patent Office Irakli Gvaladze is to pay a working visit to the U.S.
During the visit meetings are planned with representatives of the State Patent Service of the United States and a memorandum of cooperation is scheduled to be signed with this organization, Gvaladze told journalists today.
"This is a very important agreement because it will protect the Georgian brands on the U.S. market," he said.
Gvaladze stressed that the Georgian experts should cooperate with the U.S. side also on adopting copyright protection experience.
Also the Georgian brands will be patented during the visit to the United States.
Gvaladze intends to meet with representatives of the U.S. company, which owns the right to sell 19 sorts of the Georgian wines, including the world-known wine "Khvanchkara" in the U.S.
