Over 40,000 small enterprises created in Uzbekistan

In January-October 2018, some 42,200 new small enterprises and microfirms were created in Uzbekistan, which is 27.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2017, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said in a report.

The total number of small enterprises and microfirms operating in Uzbekistan amounted to 258,700, which is 12.2 percent more than by Nov. 1, 2017.

Reportedly, the biggest number of small enterprises and microfirms was created in the sphere of trade – 9,746, industry – 9,499, agriculture, forestry and fishery – 4,922, construction – 5,443.

In January-October 2018, 47,100 new enterprises and organizations were created in Uzbekistan, which is 11,700 (33.2 percent) more compared to the same period in 2017.

As a result, the number of existing enterprises and organizations has increased by 32,100 (11.2 percent) from the beginning of the year and amounted to 318,300.
