The anode copper production of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company increased by 10 percent compared to the production plan during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - October 21, 2020), Managing Director of the NICICO, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
The director stressed that 205,000 tons of anode copper was produced over the reporting period. However, it was envisaged in the plan to produce 186,000 tons of anode copper.
Sad Mohammadi added that the company produced about 163,000 tons of cathode copper within 7 months. This is an increase of 7 percent compared to the plan.
“During this period, the company's copper concentrate production amounted to about 707,000 tons, which an increase of 5 percent compared to the plan,” he said.
The director noted that furthermore, the company extracted a total of about 103 million tons of mining stone in 7 months. This is an increase of 3 percent compared to the plan.
The National Iranian Copper Industries Company extracted 31.3 million tons of sulfur stone during the same period, which is 2 percent more than planned.
