A total of 30,000 tons of imported rice will be distributed at a price of $4 per kilogram, said the head of the Iran Market Regulation Headquarters.
"Reports of 100 items were presented at this meeting, and their prices were compared to last month, except for one or two items, there was relative price stability in most products in the market,” Abbas Ghobadi, head of the Market Regulation Headquarters said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
“Several basic and intermediate goods were approved to clear from customs as soon as possible,” he said.
Referring to some reports on the shortage of edible oil in the market he said that "There has been a break in production of oil in the country, which has been almost solved since last week."
He asked all organizations to help minimize the problems.
Ghobadi went on to reject the rumors of an increase in prices for detergents and dairy products.
“A decision will be made on the issue of dairy products in the coming days,” he said adding any price increase for dairy products has been ruled out.
