Iran's trade turnover with Lebanon declines

Iran's trade turnover with Lebanon decreased by 53 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).

According to the statistics, Iran's trade turnover with Lebanon amounted to 58,700 tons worth about $17.8 million in 9 months.

“Thus, Iran exported about 50,200 tons of goods worth about $8.66 million to Lebanon over the reporting period. The exports decreased by 62 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In addition, Iran imported 8,440 tons of goods worth $9.2 million from Lebanon within 9 months. The Imports decreased by 37 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

In general, Iran exported 85.2 million tons of goods worth $25 billion in the first 9 months of the current Iranian year. Moreover, Iran imported 25 million tons of goods worth $26.8 billion during the reporting period.
