Iran shares data on imports of basic goods

Head of Government Trading Corporation of Iran (GTC) announced the import of 4 million tons of basic goods to the country in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20, 2020).

“Total of 194 ships carrying basic goods from the beginning of the current Iranian year to the end of December have been docked and unloaded in Iranian ports to provide the country's strategic reserves,” Head of Government Trading Corporation of Iran (GTC) Amir Talebi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

“The basic goods were imported to the country from the southern and northern ports,” he said. “The share of Imam Khomeini port was more than other ports.”

“The share of Imam Khomeini Port in the import of goods to the country is 45 percent, Bandar Abbas Port 31 percent, Chabahar port 17 percent and the rest was imported from northern ports of the country,” he added.
