BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Caspian littoral states (Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran) increased by 41 percent in value and 10.5 percent in volume during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Hossein Kakhaki told Trend.

According to Kakhaki, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Caspian littoral states for 6 months amounted to 3.57 million tons worth $1.97 billion.

“Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the trade turnover stood at 3.24 million tons worth $1.4 billion,” he said.

In 6 months, Iran exported 1.9 million tons of non-oil products worth $983 million to Caspian littoral states, which is an increase of 41 percent in value and 3.9 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year, the customs official added.

The director general also noted that Iran’s non-oil exports to Caspian littoral states amounted to 1.82 million tons worth $699 million in the same period last year.

As for Iran’s imports from the mentioned countries for 6 months, Kakhaki said that the imports amounted to 1.68 million tons worth $991 million, which is an increase of 41 percent in value and 18.9 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, Iran imported 1.41 million tons of products worth $702 million from the Caspian littoral states in the same period last Iranian year.
