BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 28. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Isfahan Province increased by 16 percent in value and 10 percent in volume, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to Kuhestani, approximately 1.75 million tons of goods worth $1.14 billion were exported through the province's five customs in 9 months.
Kuhestani added that a total of 753 types of non-oil products were exported through the province’s customs for nine months, mainly steel and related products worth $464 million, petrochemical products worth $174 million, dairy products worth $93 million and carpets worth $91 million.
The director general noted that the mentioned products were exported to 89 countries.
Over 9 months, products worth $461 million were exported to Iraq (a 12-percent increase), worth $191 million to Pakistan (a 47-percent increase), worth $122 million to Türkiye (a 148-percent increase) worth $75 million to Afghanistan (a 33-percent increase), he said.
“Generally, the products worth about $621 million were exported through the Isfahan border checkpoint, worth $317 million through the Kashan border checkpoint, worth $151 million through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company, worth $48 million through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company, and worth $8 million through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport in 9 months,” Kuhestani also pointed out.
