BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Iran’s export of non-oil products through the customs of Markazi Province amounted to more than 230,000 tons worth approximately $140 million, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office Alireza Sadeghi said, Trend reports.

The director general noted that the non-oil exports via the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 14 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Sadeghi added that various hydrocarbons, liquefied gas, iron and steel ingots, glassware, fruit juice, etc. were the main exported goods.

According to him, the mentioned non-oil products were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Türkiye and others.

“Meanwhile, last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), the non-oil products worth $970 million were exported through the customs of the province,” he said.

Overall, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
