BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. Iran's imports from Azerbaijan amounted to 2,870 tons worth $9.63 million, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Trend reports.
Within 2 months, Iran's imports from Azerbaijan increased by 32 percent in value, while decreasing by 40.9 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran’s imports from Azerbaijan stood at 4,860 tons worth about $7.29 million.
Iran mainly imported equipment, compressed soybeans, various profiles and etc. from Azerbaijan during the mentioned period.
In total, Iran imported about 19,000 tons of goods worth approximately $34 million from Azerbaijan over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), which is a decreased of 20.2 percent in value and 16.8 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
Overall, Iran imported 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion for the first 2 months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
