BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Iran’s Bushehr Province in the south of the country imported 313,000 tons of goods worth $1.06 billion during the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani said, Trend reports.
The official noted that imported products were various kinds of fabric, motorcycle and bicycle and related spare parts, passenger car spare parts, various loudspeakers, etc.
Soleimani added that the goods were mainly imported to Bushehr Province from the UAE, China, Russia, Philippines, India and others.
Overall, Iran imported 17.6 million tons of goods worth $30.4 billion in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023). This is an increase of 11.6 percent in value and 6.89 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), 638,000 tons of goods worth $1.99 billion were imported to Iran's Bushehr Province, which is an increase of 34 percent in value and 20 percent in volume compared to the previous year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
