Marine Administration of Azerbaijan submits estimate
Established by Presidents decree, Marine Administration of Azerbaijan submitted draft of estimate for this year, Trend reports with reference to Cabinet of Ministers. Marine Administration shall employ some 35 people. However, its staff may expand with time alongside increase of number of covered vessels and issues. In the closest time the government is approving this estimate.
Marine Administration is established to cover all agencies wielding vessels and operating in Caspian Sea and other regions. Also, it will represent Azerbaijan in IMO and regulate all relationships among marine entities. Azerbaijan already signed 34 agreements with IMO to date. Gudrat Gurbanov, previously represented Azerbaijan in IMO, was appointed president of Marine Administration.
