According to the State Budget Statement 2007, allocations to the total sum of 98 m. AZN are expected to be sent to the Fund-in-Trust Highways founded by the President of the Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Allocations to the State Budget have been determined at the expense of the highway-user tax to the sum of 18, 2 m. AZN, the simplified tax paid by owners and users of carriers aimed at carrying loads and passengers 6.3 m. AZN, excises applied to imported autos - 35 m. AZN, tax duties applied to imported autos 30 m. AZN, state duties from permissions on fulfilling international carriages via the territory of Azerbaijan 3, 5 m. AZN, state duties from the annual checkup of auto transport carriers, including motor transport vehicles, trails, and semi trails 5 m. AZN.
The budget fund Highways was founded to accelerate work carried out in the sphere of construction and road-building, efficient use of the country's highways network, and keeping them in a good condition. The Transport Ministry was appointed as the superintendent of the funds.
