The volume of gas produced in Azerbaijan amounted to more than 36.7 billion cubic meters in 2020, having risen by 3.1 percent year on year, Trend reports citing the report of the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting year, Azerbaijan produced commercial gas in a volume of 26.06 billion cubic meters, which is 6.3 percent more than a year earlier.
At the same time, almost 34.5 million tons of oil and gas condensate were produced, down by 7.8 percent compared to 2019.
As of January 1, 2021, the stock of finished oil products amounted to 439,500 tons, said the report.
In 2019, Azerbaijan produced 37.5 million tons of oil and gas condensate, which is approximately the same as in 2018. The bulk of oil production in Azerbaijan falls on the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields.
Azerbaijan’s gas production in 2019 amounted to over 35.5 billion cubic meters, and commercial gas - 24.5 billion cubic meters.
