Cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), mixed reality, and automation are driving Industry 4.0 forward, creating a future where ‘smart manufacturing’ is reality, he said.
“Today we are introducing updates to help bring this reality even closer for our customers and partners to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency for new business successes,” he added.
“We've equipped our three key services with enhanced IoT threat protection: Azure Security Center for IoT can now be used to implement security best practices and threat mitigation for any IoT project, including hosts, computers, and data. Azure Sentinel, the first cloud-optimized information security and event management (SIEM) solution, can now protect an entire enterprise from threats, including threats to IoT devices. Azure IoT Hub now integrates with Azure Security Center for IoT to provide information security for IoT devices directly on the host's web portal,” Mirzayev said.
He noted that OPC Twin and OPC Vault solutions were implemented in the Azure Industrial IoT Cloud Platform.
“The former provides digital twin manufacturers with their OPC UA servers, the latter significantly improves security and certification management. We're also announcing significant improvements to the Connected Factory Solution Accelerator, which now integrates with OPC Twin to greatly simplify the IoT Edge setup process,” the general manager said.
Mirzayev added that Microsoft presents a wide range of smart innovations and offerings for manufacturers and industry, including the latest advances in AI, mixed reality with HoloLens 2, turnkey business solutions with Dynamics 365, and tools.
“Businesses increasingly depend on internet connections, but security remains the key to success. Microsoft's end-to-end security concept is one step ahead of everyone to protect our customers' data and intellectual property,” he added.
