It became known this week that information systems and resources of 25 state structures of Azerbaijan have switched to the "Government Cloud" (G-Cloud), Trend reports.
G-Cloud was created on the basis of the infrastructure of the data center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and High Technologies. In accordance with the plan, a gradual transition of information systems and other state bodies to the G-Cloud has already begun.
This week, it also became known that private organizations in Azerbaijan working in the field of robotics are closely cooperating with foreign companies (Canada, Korea, Germany, Japan, and the UK) on the ‘Robotics Programming Simulator’ program.
Moreover, in the outgoing week, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Valizade announced the country’s intentions to sign an agreement on regional roaming with the EU countries. The signing of this agreement will make the services in this area more accessible for the population, business, and government agencies. Within this document, acceptable tariffs will also be applied on international roaming between mobile operators operating in Azerbaijan and mobile operators in Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova - both for voice calls and SMS, as well as for mobile data (Internet).
Also, this week, an agreement was reached between the State Agency for the Public Services and Social Innovation (ASAN Service) under the President of Azerbaijan and the Hungarian Ministry of Internal Affairs to expand cooperation in the development of e-government.
In the field of implementation of ‘smart’ projects, Azerbaijan applies the experience of the developed countries of the world. Also, in Azerbaijan, in the field of implementing smart projects, a biometric electronic signature system is being introduced, which will make it possible to biometric confirmation of a number of transactions in banking, insurance, and other areas of activity.
