BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 26

By Sadraddin Aghjayev - Trend:

Microsoft shares its experience in combating modern cyber threats with Azerbaijani partners, General Manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan Gachay Mirzayev told Trend on Aug.26.

According to Mirzayev, meetings with corporate customers, partners and other vendors are regularly held in Azerbaijan.

“At all these meetings, we share our experience in combating modern cyber threats, discuss possible risks and offer close cooperation, because only by joint forces the growing threats can be addressed. In parallel, as part of the Enterprise Skilling initiative, we support awareness of this topic," he stressed.

The company’s head reminded that on July 14, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan approved updated rules on information protection, in connection with which Microsoft Azerbaijan, for its part, prepared a table of decisions on cyber-security that meets all these new requirements.

Besides, according to him, new solutions, capabilities and functions appeared in Microsoft's recently updated portfolio of cyber-security solutions.

As he noted, the new solutions include proactive monitoring of security risks.

He also noted that Microsoft paid out $13.6 million to cyber-security researchers within the Bug Bounty program (a program in which the company engages third-party security experts to test its software for vulnerabilities).

"Cyber-security remains the number one priority around the world. Microsoft takes security issues very seriously. We constantly assess the current situation over the cyber threats to improve our products, and listen to feedback from third-party experts, facilitating the exchange of information in this area," added Mirzayev
