A total of 22,924 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through April 2021, which is 8.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in April alone amounted to 5,322 cars, which also is 18.8 percent more than in April. 2020.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 2,329 vehicles (688 in April), of specialized vehicles at 97 units (41 in April).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in April 2021 amounted to 70, which is 83.5 percent less than during April 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 270 vehicles, which is 57.3 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 27,826 during four months and 7,629 in April 2021, which is 11.9 percent more and 62.3 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2020.
Nine diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over four months of 2020 (1 in April), and 473 cargo wagons (311 in April).
