BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 1.8 billion tenge ($4.1 million) from January through March 2022, which is 65 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in March 2022 amounted to 701.3 million tenge ($1.5 million), which is 36 percent less than during the same month of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 4,300 tons, which is 35.5 percent less compared to the same period of last year (1,570 tons in March 2022, a decrease by 39.5 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 8.8 million ton-kilometers which is 36.2 percent less than during the same period of last year (3.05 million in March 2022, a decrease of 43.1 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 78.7 billion tenge ($174.9 million) from January through March 2022, which is 18.6 percent more than during the same period of last year. March revenue from passenger transportation was 31.5 billion tenge ($70.1 million), which is 14.1 percent more than in March 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 1.9 million people, which is 3.8 percent more than during the same period of last year (807,300 passengers in March 2022, up by 10.9 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 3.1 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 14.9 percent. The March passenger turnover was 1.3 billion (21 percent more year-on-year).
