BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Iranian ports and customs are dealing with more than 4.3 million tons of essential products right now, Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
Latifi said the goods were delivered to Imam Khomeini port by 21 ships, Shahid Rajaee port by 7 ships, Amirabad port by 6 ships, Chabahar port by 3 ships, and Noshahr port by 1 ship.
The overall amount of goods included those arriving to the ports, those being loaded/unloaded, as well as those being released from the customs. In particular, of 4.3 million tons, 2.97 tons of essential goods were being gradually released from customs.
“Meanwhile, about 396,000 tons of essential goods are being unloaded from 20 ships, and about 974,000 tons are waiting to be unloaded from 18 ships,” Latifi added.
The official said the goods included 1.95 million tons of corn, 932,000 tons of wheat, 581,000 tons of oilseeds, 329,000 tons of crude oil, 224,000 tons of soybeans, 147,000 tons of barley, 85,200 tons of sugar and 40,900 tons of rice.
