BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. The Korean Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA) is ready to become a technological partner of Turkmenistan for the development of the International North-South Transport Corridor, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Information about this was announced by a representative of the association at the international conference on "International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development" (ITC 2023) on May 4, 2023.
At the same time, KOMEA representatives announced cooperation with Turkmenistan in the construction of a small vessel for the transportation of liquefied natural gas "Volga-don Max" with the latest marine solutions from Korean manufacturers.
Furthermore, a proposal was made to involve Turkmenistan in ODA (Official Development Assistance), which involves the allocation of appropriate grants for the implementation of industrial projects.
Meanwhile, South Korean companies are currently modernizing the Turkmen shipyard, engaged in joint ship design, as well as the transfer of ship repair technologies.
