ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 28. Turkmenistan imported mechanical and electrical equipment from Italy in the amount of 27.84 million euros from January through July 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures for the reporting period are 23.7 percent less than in the first seven months of last year (36.51 million euros).
The agency said that in July 2023, Turkmenistan imported mechanical and electrical equipment from Italy in the amount of 4.25 million euros, which almost did not change in comparison with the figures for June 2023 (4.24 million euros).
At the same time, Turkmenistan imported goods worth 83.33 million euros from Italy from January through July 2023, which is 43.5 percent more than in the first seven months of last year (58.06 million euros).
The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Italy for the whole of 2022 amounted to 173.13 million euros, which is a significant decrease of 2.7 times compared to the trade turnover in 2021, which amounted to 471.62 billion euros.
