As Iran prepares to hold ceremonies to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, an official says more than 200 foreign reporters have been cleared to provide coverage of the occasion, Press TV reported.

"The ceremonies will be covered by 226 reporters from 120 foreign media," the director general of Iran's Culture Ministry for foreign media affairs, Mohammad-Javad Aqajari, told Fars News Agency on Sunday.

"More than 100 foreign reporters have also requested visas in order to cover the ceremonies," he added.

The official noted that reporters from India, Japan, Britain, Norway, Germany, Lebanon, France, Hungary, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Greece and France are among those who have asked to cover the ceremonies.
