Iran attends annual Nuclear Power Asia conference

Iran has attended the third annual Nuclear Power Asia conference in Malaysia, which is aimed at discussing the latest issues in the world nuclear industry, Press TV reported.

The Nuclear Power Asia 2012 conference opened in Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday with the participation of a large number of nuclear experts from various countries.

The Islamic Republic's representative at the conference, Deputy Director of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Nasser Rastkhah, is scheduled to deliver a speech on the second day of the conference.

The latest achievements in the field of peaceful nuclear energy and issues regarding the construction of power plants plan to be discussed.

The Nuclear Power Asia started work three years ago with the objective of developing nuclear energy in emerging economies in East Asian states such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
