Iran, Turkey need to use political potentials to settle Syrian crisis

Iran and Turkey need to use their political abilities to settle the crises in Syria and Iraq, and should step up their cooperation in these areas, according to Eshaq Jahangiri, first vice president of Iran.
He made the remarks during a phone conversation with Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, IRNA agency said Nov. 6.
Jahangiri further congratulated Davutoglu on the victory of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the Nov. 1 parliamentary election in Turkey.
"Iran has had very good relations with Turkey in the past 14 years," he said, expressing his hope that the two countries will take additional steps to develop and strengthen the ties between them.
