Singaporean investors are willing to cooperate on projects in the Iranian Special Economic Zone of Lavan, said Abdolhamid Zarei, CEO of the economic zone, in a meeting with a Malaysian engineering company’s representative.
Zarei also said numerous foreign companies have already expressed interest in investing in the Iranian economic zone, SHANA news agency reported June 29.
The Malaysian businessman, for his part, said his company is willing to invest in oil projects in both upstream and downstream spheres.
In April, a Russian company and a multinational company with investors from Sweden, Hungary, Japan, Australia and Singapore expressed willingness to invest in oil, gas, power generation, dam building, and road construction projects in the zone.
