Foreign Ministry spokeswoman expressing deep sorrow over occurrence of heavy earthquake in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India and sympathizing with peoples and governments in those countries announced Iran's readiness to assist, Irna reported.
Marziyeh Afkham also condoled with the bereaved family members of the killer earthquake in those countries.
She said that Iran hopes the human and material losses of this natural disaster will be at minimum level and announced Iran's full readiness for offering professional relief and rescue services in the quake stricken areas.
Afkham, meanwhile, prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the quake and patience and reward in the Hereafter for the bereaved family members of its dead victims.
There are still no official reports from the countries in which the strong earthquake has hit, but the reports from various provinces in Afghanistan indicate that dozens of homes in those provinces have been destroyed and the casualties are quite high.
Reports from Pakistan, too, show that at least 90 people have been killed there and hundreds of people have got injured.
In Tajikistan, the quake mainly intimidated the people in various parts of the country and made them flee from their homes.
The Tajik citizens say they had never in their lives remembered such a deadly quake.
