Since the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh is still an urgent topic, the channel is ready to provide comprehensive media coverage, involving all conflicting sides, the Inter TV channel said, expressing its official position on reportage regarding Nagorno-Karabakh.
After Euronews television channel, the Ukrainian Inter TV channel has prepared and presented to the audience an anti-Azerbaijani film about Nagorno-Karabakh.
On Dec. 7, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine presented a note to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine in connection with the display of an anti-Azerbaijani film on Inter television channel, Azerbaijani ambassador Talat Aliyev told Trend .
The channel would be grateful if the conflicting sides help us, the statement says.
Being aware that with regards to Nagorno-Karabakh, there is a situation of international conflict and sharp differences between both officials and peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Inter channel did not plan either to produce or to display the reportage regarding legal, factual and other political status of the territory, the statement said.
The reportage displayed on Dec. 6 was devoted not to the conflict around Nagorno-Karabakh, but directly this territory and its inhabitants. Its format is reportage journalism, in other words the chronicles, statement said.
"We were inside the problem, describing not the conflict, which involves sides, but the life of Nagorno-Karabakh in early Dec. 2009. All evaluations, emotions, attitudes of the reportage belong to them as residents of the territory. Inter channel does not share these or any other positions - we show our audience how life is established in different parts of Ukraine and the world," said the statement.
