Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli / In the coming year, Azerbaijan and NATO will be organize 160 events within the framework of the Individual Partnership Program, Eldar Safarov, the spokesman for the Azerbaijani National Defense Ministry, said to a news conference on 28 December as a result of 2007.
The first stage of the Individual Partnership Program, between Azerbaijan and NATO concluded this year. The second will be implemented in 2008-2009.
Safarov said that from 1 January the Azerbaijani National Army will meet the NATO standards. Under the Individual Partnership Program, it is planned to hold 56 courses, 19 workshops, 12 meetings of experts, 17 conferences, 5 training and 20 working meetings.
Safarov said that in the next year, Azerbaijan is planning to sign the bilateral agreements with Belgium, Moldova, China and Estonia on the military cooperation
Azerbaijan has the military agreements with the 20 different countries.
