President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received an Italian delegation led by Chief of Defense Staff of the Armed Forces Biagio Abrate.
The Head of State said relations between Azerbaijan and Italy were successfully developing in various fields.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of reciprocal visits for expansion of bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The President expressed hope Biagio Abrate`s first visit to Azerbaijan would play important role in terms of discussions of development of bilateral cooperation in this field.
The Chief of Defense Staff of the Italian Armed Forces expressed pleasure with his visit to Azerbaijan.
He stressed the importance of joint successful cooperation of Italian servicemen and Azerbaijan`s peacekeepers within the International Peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, they also discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries` relevant bodies.
