BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. As part of his official visit to Pakistan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the country's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the level of strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of mutual visits at a high level, as well as mutual support within the framework of international organizations.
The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, energy, tourism, education, science and culture, transport, and defense.
Drawing attention to the importance of holding meetings of the intergovernmental economic commission on a regular basis, the parties touched upon the prospects for the development of bilateral economic relations, especially cooperation in the field of energy and mutual investments.
At the same time, it was noted that strengthening the activities of the trilateral format of cooperation between Azerbaijan-Pakistan-Türkiye key in all areas will help strengthen the regional and global positions of all three countries, as well as make a special contribution to mutually beneficial cooperation.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which our country is hosting this year, creates favorable opportunities for new areas of cooperation.At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other topical issues on the agenda, as well as on bilateral and multilateral topics of mutual interest.
