Mazahir Panahov, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) Chairman, said in talks with journalists that the CEC continues monitoring the election commissions. The monitoring is complete in 38 constituency elections commissions.
At present the monitoring is in progress in 28 constituencies. CEC has defined the spheres to be monitored and it covers almost all activities, said Mr. Panahov.
CEC is investigating results of the first monitoring. The analysis of results of the first monitoring will end shortly. By the end of the year the monitoring will be held in 66 constituencies, said Mr. Panahov. The monitoring in other constituencies will be continued in 2007.
CEC Chairman added that the results of the monitoring will be seriously analyzed and discussed. We will try to resolve the problems, he said.
