Cement price increases in Iran

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 7 /Trend/

The cement price has increased 12 percent in Iran due to decreased subsidies, while production costs have increased by 25 percent, the Iranian daily Jahan e Sanat reported.

The Commerce Ministry issued permit to increase cements prices across the country and according to a member of Cement Producers Association the prices increased 12 percent.

The report indicates 10 percent drop in country's cement production in last solar year to 186,000 tons which 160,000 tons sold in domestic market and 34,000 tons exported.

Cement production increased by 16 percent comparing to last year reached to more than 14.000 tons while 2,000 tons of cement exported in current solar year. Iran has 865,000 tons of cement reserve.
