Turkey discloses date of commissioning metro line in country

Construction of the metro line in Turkey’s Antalya province, which started last May, will be completed at the end of this year, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Jan. 30.

Construction of the metro line with length of about 25 kilometers continues in the province, according to the ministry.

“Antalya is one of the most popular tourist provinces in Turkey, a place of rest for foreign and local tourists, and in this regard, the construction of the metro line is extremely popular and helps to improve passenger traffic,” the ministry said.

The construction will be carried out in three stages, and the cost of the project is 700 million Turkish liras, the ministry said.

The work is underway in Turkey on the implementation of 50 transport and communication projects.
