New greenhouse complex has been opened in the Gozgan district of the Kaahka district of the Ahal region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Neytralni Turkmenistan newspaper.
The facility with a total area of five hectares was built by local company “Gozgan gala”. The main products are tomatoes of various varieties. It is planned to get 1,000 tons of high-quality products per season.
This is the first greenhouse in Turkmenistan where the cooling system is installed. It is capable to maintain the temperature at 20-25 degrees even in hot summer days, the report says.
A favorable microclimate regulated automatically has been created at the facility. The greenhouse includes a plant nursery with an area of 720 square meters. In the future, there are plans to grow other vegetable crops in the greenhouse.
